Bainton lies at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, and has the B1248 running through it. Bainton is 6 miles south west of Driffield, 8 miles north west of Beverley,15 miles north east of Market Weighton and 11 miles east of Pocklington.
