Consultation takes place at my Homeopathy clinic at Bainton, near Beverley and Driffield. If you have mobility issues a home visit can be arranged.
The initial consultation can take one and half hours. I will need to know a lot about you, your medical and family history, the specific history of your complaint and any circumstances that affect it. I will also need to ask you about your mental and emotional symptoms, your diet, life style, your energy levels, your sleep and dreams. Also, important in constructing an accurate picture, any other medications you might be taking and other procedures that you might have had for example dental treatment.
I will then take time to put all this information together and prescribe a homeopathic medicine that matches your symptoms and that takes account of you as a whole, your individual characteristics emotionally as well as physically.
The remedy is given to you usually in tablet form, occasionally as powder, which should be allowed to dissolve in your mouth; or as a liquid. You should not eat, drink or brush your teeth or smoke 20 minutes before and after taking the remedy.
Follow-up appointments are usually four weeks later and they are usually shorter, around thirty to forty minutes.
